Vidhya Reddy | QA Automation Engineer

Vidhya joined Aequilibrium in February. Some of her favourite things about working here are having the chance to work on a project from scratch and using different technologies!

“I’d describe Aequilibrium as a good place to grow. Everyone is so interactive and they communicate with each other so well.”

First things first, why did you want to work at Aequilibrium?

After I came across Aequilibrium and did some research on the company, that’s when I decided that I wanted to work here. I saw their positive reviews online, I heard about their culture, and Aequilibrium has interesting clients. We’re able to work with different clients, gain knowledge in different areas, work with different applications. It’s a big plus to join a company like this. People here are very quick in helping others despite their busy schedules.

As a QA Automation Engineer, what’s your typical day like?

As a QA, I’m responsible for understanding the user story requirements, going through the acceptance criteria, and writing test scenarios and test cases for them. Once the user stories are deployed, we verify them in the QA environment, run regression suites, then we sign off to move the code to the staging and production environments. I also constantly interact with the product owner and developers for getting more understanding on the new features deploying to production. I cover all the manual test cases with the test data, and the identified bugs are assigned to the relevant developer. At the end of the sprint, all the features are validated before moving to the production environment.

What’s the most rewarding part about working here?

At Aequilibrium we have plenty of opportunities to work with different clients, which is a great benefit. There are opportunities for advancement and to work with different applications and different platforms.

How is your current job different from previous jobs you’ve had?

The work culture. The biggest advantage is that I get to be involved in each step of the process, working on a project from scratch. I get to understand everything, having complete knowledge of the processes. I’m able to handle any project now if I start from scratch.

How would you describe us?

As far as technology, opportunities, and culture go, I’d describe Aequilibrium as a good place to grow. Everyone is so interactive and they communicate with each other so well.
